Your Excellency,
On behalf of the Russian Orthodox Church in Iceland and all members of the St.Nicolas Parish in Reykjavik we wish to express our deep condolences to You and to all citizens of the French Republic on the abhorrent and unprovoked act of terror that took place in Nice on night of 14th of July. We wish to express to You our thorough solidarity and grief that we feel for the French people.
In this darkest hour we wish to the people of the Fifth Republic to 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:8-11).
